For this Wednesday we have two endgame studies where the solution is to draw from what looks like a lost position. The first is from Hans Bouwmeester who is a veteran Dutch International Master. He won some important first prizes in the 1950's and represented his country 7 times in the Chess Olympiads. The second is an older study from 1841 by George Walker. George Walker (13 March 1803 to 23 April 1879) was an English chess player and author of the celebrated Analysis of A D Philidor (London,1832).
