New England Chess Open

Venue: Armidale Ex-Services Club, 137 Dumaresq Street, Armidale NSW 2350 (Upstairs in the Auditorium).

Date/Time: Registration/Check in 10:00am to 10:45am on Saturday 14 September for an 11am start.

Tournament Format: 6 round Swiss
Time Control: 60 minutes + 10 seconds increment from move one.
Entry fee: $35, $25 concession. A late fee of $10 applies to entries after Friday 6 September (entries on the day are accepted).

Please note: All entrants must be members of a state chess association. Juniors can join the NSW Junior Chess League. Seniors can sign up to the NSWCA. It is $10 for regional members of either organisation. You can join on their respective websites (google their names for them) or sign up on the day.

How to sign up: Email your name, date of birth, ACF rating and postcode to chessinarmidale@gmail.com. (You do not need an ACF rating to enter)

Please confirm your registration by depositing your entry fee to Armidale Chess Club: BSB: 932-000 Account Number: 725956 and adding name of the entrant and “NEO” as the reference.

Full Schedule:

Saturday 14 September: Registration - 10am, Round 1: 11am, Round 2: 2pm, Round 3: 5pm.
Sunday 15 September: Round 4: 9am, Round 5: 12pm, Round 6: 3pm. Prize Giving: 6pm or finish.

Please note: entrants u18 must have an adult in attendance.
